Underwood understands the spirit of those who toil on the land and the importance of a thriving agricultural economy.

Underwood’s Agriculture Law practice is rooted in the personal farming and ranching experience of our attorneys. With a deep understanding of the challenges and triumphs faced by farmers, ranchers, and agribusinesses, Underwood is committed to serving as trusted legal advisors to support agricultural ventures.

Underwood provides counsel on a wide variety of areas, including real property transactions, water rights, financial investments and loans, operations, and development of the renewable energy sector.

Navigating the dynamic landscape of the agricultural industry requires a forward-thinking approach. Underwood attorneys understand the important role of sustainability and innovation in modern farming practices and advise clients in a manner that aligns with the future-focused endeavors of the agricultural community.

Our Successes

Facilitating an exchange of water rights located in the northeast Panhandle in Hartley and Dallam Counties. The exchange facilitated the development of ranch land into an organic farm supporting an adjacent dairy.

Assisting with the purchase and sale of the historic Waggoner Ranch.

Working with more than a dozen Dutch and Danish families as they pursued “the American Dream.” Our work with these families was comprehensive. We advised them on identifying property, lenders, equipment, contractors, and opportunities to develop dairies in the Texas Panhandle.
