Gavin Gadberry is a highly respected attorney dedicated to serving the legal needs of post-acute and long-term care facilities and advancing the future needs of the health care profession that serves frail and elderly of Texas.

Gavin provides valuable counsel to nursing and assisted care facilities. Drawing on his almost three decades of experience as general counsel and issue lobbyist for the Texas Health Care Association, Gavin is called upon to provide guidance and strategic counsel when dealing with regulatory agencies or the Texas Legislature.

Gavin represents long-term care and post-acute facilities with the complex regulatory and compliance issues they face at both the state and federal levels. From increased government scrutiny to reimbursement rates to changes of ownership issues, his understanding of the business side of the profession brings valuable insight to clients.

He handles sales, acquisitions and leaseback transactions, and regulatory appeals related to Medicare and Medicaid. He is also active in Medicaid bed allocation and QIPP transactions.

Gavin has been a frequent speaker at industry events, including the American Health Lawyers Association’s Annual Long-Term Care and the Law Seminar and the Texas Health Care Association’s Annual Convention and other meetings.

Gavin served as President to the Firm for four years and continues to serve on the Firm’s Board of Directors.

Gavin enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and playing golf. He is passionate about his family’s ranch in Lipscomb County, Texas, which has been in continuous operation for more than 140 years.
